On 28 June 2023 the ESA Council approved the agreement between ESA and ESPI, to reinforce and formalise the cooperation between ESA and ESPI. Earlier, on 6 June 2023, the Austrian Ministry for European and Foreign Affairs confirmed that ESPI meets the requirements to be considered as a Quasi-International Organisation under Austrian law.

The agenda would focus on the institutional evolution of the institute, the growth plan for 2024-2025/26 as well as the longer-term direction of ESPI.

This Extraordinary Advisory Council meeting will take place in conjunction with ESPI’s 20th Anniversary Event “Transformation for a Changing World” in the Austrian Parliament
